Hi Hives

Hi Hives. It was nice to meet you. You were shy at first, moving around to give me the impression you weren’t really there. I thought you were a random stranger that would be gone in the morning. But you became oh so much more. You came to life in the CO air. You danced and twirled your way about my daughter’s face, hiked her arms and legs. Her stomach and back were uncharted territory until the final days, the final leg of a red march. I am still uncertain where to send my thank you. The lentils, the shot, the fall leaves — which one is deserving of my appreciation is still unclear. You left as quickly as you came. Just for the record, I hope we don’t cross paths again any time soon.
